When my black friends dad said my name and I responded "what" he looked at me like I was crazy. via GIPHY Discipline Another difference is discipline. My parents would make us sit on the steps for a few hours if we misbehaved. Some other white parents might take away TV or other electronics from their kids or just sternly talk to them.
